BIOGRAPHY

Emma Roberts was a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio 22/23, as well as an Artist for Samling, Britten Pears and currently Orsay-Royaumont Académie 2023/24. A graduate of the University of Manchester, Emma went onto the Royal College of Music International Opera School where she graduated in 2022. A Ferrier 2022 prize winner, Emma was awarded both the Loveday Song Prize for Debussy’s Colloque Sentimental & overall 2nd Prize and 1st Prize in the Joan Chissell Schumann Competition of the same year.Recent engagements include covering the role of Lorca in Golijov’s Ainadamar for Welsh National Opera, RCM roles include; Minskwoman Flight, Hänsel Hänsel und Gretel, Eduige Rodelinda, Third Lady Die Zauberflöte. Orfeo Orfeo ed Euridice with Barefoot Opera, Lola Cavalleria Rusticana with Opera Makers, title role in Mascagni’s Zanetto Barefoot Opera and Aalborg Opera Festival 2023. Emma has performed recitals at the Red House in Snape, Aldeborough and Oxford Lieder Festival 2022 and looks forward to performing a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in February 2024, sponsored by The Musicians Company, as well as several recitals this year in the Musée D’Orsay supported by the Orsay-Royaumont Académie. Emma has been a soloist in concert performances such as Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky conducted by Martin Brabbins and Mark Biggins, Turnage dramatic scena Twice Through the Heart conducted by Timothy Lines. ​​
